Spring Update

Hi, everyone! I have been updating everyone by email lately but I just thought I'd take a couple of moments to get the blog up to date so that we have the information in one place.

Christine Kleiber has pictures of the Easter decorating (yay!). If anyone else has pictures (of Easter or Christmas), please bring them to the next meeting and we can put them in the album that Pattye bought for the Guild.

The remaining flower deliveries are as follows:

For May 2nd (Ascension): white silk lilies (feature flowers) and the same monumental urns at the tabernacle. As the accent, the salidago (tightly closed), and lots of drape with the Italian ruscis. There will be a third arrangement for the ambo -- we can place it in front of the BVM until after the Traditional Latin Mass. Mary will meet the delivery in church at 4:00 PM Friday so we shall be ready for the Traditional Latin Mass on Friday evening.

For May 9th: two white arrangements for First Holy Communion. They will be primarily white and cream, feature flowers will be roses, accent flowers should be alstroemeria and salidago.

For May 10th: two red arrangements for the tabernacle and one for the ambo for Pentecost. The red arrangements will have antherium as the feature flower and roses as the accent flower. We'll be moving the First Communion arrangements to the BVM statue, so it will look very nice.

The current calendar is here:

Our next meeting will be May 17th in the Sam Adams house (the white house next to the rectory). It will begin right after the 8 am Mass, approximately 8:40 am. Hope to see you there.
